In celebration of the 75th anniversary we are partnering with Mountain View Vacations on a new Hot Air Balloon Festival here on our property. We will have music, family entertainment, a vendor village, tethered ballon rides, food offerings and 5 scheduled hot air ballon launches over 3 days (Weather permitting). Join in this celebratory kick off to summer. There will be a special theme ballon launched as part of our 75th anniversary as well.

We are partnering with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, The Flynn Theatre and the Lyric Theatre Company of Burlington to bring our guests a very special event this summer. Oklahoma! will be presented on the concert stage as we celebrate 75 years of musical excellence here at the resort. From the early days of the von Trapp Singers and the von Trapp Music Camps to today's many performances throughout the years, this collaboration will be part of our 75th anniversary celebration this August 13-15!

This year we are extending our holiday celebrations from Mid November through January 1st with added activities, events and culinary delights. The holiday season has always been a magical one at the resort and we are looking to have an extra special celebratory event to cap off this 75th anniversary year!
Stone and Snow by renowned local sculptor Christopher Curtis is a striking 5-piece winter exhibition honoring the 75th anniversary of the von Trapp Family Lodge & Resort in 2025. Set against the breathtaking alpine backdrop of the Green Mountains, the collection brings together the timelessness of stone with the fleeting beauty of snow, creating a visual dialogue between endurance and ephemerality. Curtis’s large-scale sculptures reflect both the rugged strength of the natural world against the backdrop of the delicate intricacies of winter, drawing inspiration from the resilience of the Lodge's storied history and rich heritage as well as the seasonal and elemental forces that have shaped its storied existence. Each piece invites visitors to reflect on the intertwining of nature, craftsmanship, and the enduring legacy of the von Trapp Family Lodge & Resort on exhibit through May 2025.
This May 10, we are opening our doors to the Vermont community with complimentary tours, live music from 12-3pm and trail passes. This celebration honors the decades of hospitality that we have provided to folks from all over the world and we are opening our doors to our local community that means so much to us as part of this celebration. Help kick off our 75th anniversary summer season on May 25, 2025, in the concert meadow (or wedding tent if it rains), with a performance from the Dave Keller Band. Dave Keller has earned three Blues Music Award nominations for Best Soul Blues Album of the Year (2021, 2019, 2014). He won the International Blues Challenge’s Best Self-Produced Album Award (2012). He and his band tour constantly, performing at top festivals and venues throughout the U.S. and Europe, winning fans one livewire show at a time.
