Paint & Sip Mondays at the Kaffeehaus


Join us on Monday's this summer and experience a 2-hour Paint and Sip class with local Vermonter Natalie Carr as you paint one of our famous Highland Cows. Join us Thursdays at 5:30PM from June 19 to August 28 for a 5K-ish trail running race through the gorgeous forest of the von Trapp Family Lodge & Resort. Whether you are looking to set your PR or just enjoy fresh air and mountain views, we welcome you to come run with us in this series of low-frills races.

Oklahoma! in Concert Wed - Fri, August 13-15, 2025


Picnic in the concert meadow and enjoy the Oscar- and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical score brought to life in concert by a full orchestra, soloists, and chorus, conducted by Christopher Ray. Set in Oklahoma in 1906, the musical depicts a love story between a farm girl and a cowboy and the growing rivalry between the cowboys and local farmers.  The musical is the first written by the famous duo of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, and features well-loved tunes including “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin” and “Oklahoma”.

Eastern Grind XC Mountain Bike Race Sunday, August 17


The Trapp trails will be the venue for the Eastern Grind XC MTB race on Sunday, August 17. The team at Bicycle Express will be producing the race with options to do one or two loops of the ~10 mile course through our singletrack and doubletrack. We would love to see you out challenging yourself, whether your goal is to just complete the course or to be standing on the podium as a top finisher. Make a day of it and get the rest of your group on a tour or hike or ride and there's lots of options up here to celebrate post-race. Registration TBA. Public may view the race from 10AM - 2PM.

Yale Whiffenpoof Concert Sunday, August 24 @ 2:15pm


The Yale Whiffenpoofs, the nation's oldest a cappella group, are so excited to be performing a 45-minute set at the Von Trapp Family Lodge & Resort this August 24 at 2:15pm in the Mozart Room! Space for the concert is open to all resort guests.

Since their founding in 1909, the Whiffenpoofs have brought a diverse repertoire of vocal jazz, folk, pop, and Broadway hits to more than two hundred audiences each year across all 6 inhabited continents. 

In past years, the ‘Whiffs’ have sung for Presidents Obama, Bush (41 and 43), Clinton, and Reagan, and at venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. We’ve even been featured on television shows such as “The Sing Off,” “The West Wing,” and “Glee.” We can't wait to share our tunes from across the decades with you!

75th Anniversary VIP Farm to Table Dinner Sunday, August 31, 2025


Join us for an amazing 75th anniversary like no other! This August we will be partnering with Adventure Dinner for an epic 4 Course Fire-Roasted Feast highlighting the best of the von Trapp Family Lodge & Resort Farm's summer bounty overlooking the picturesque Green Mountains. 
This event is not one to be missed and will sell out quickly! Featuring a paired welcome cocktail with robust grazing spread, 2 paired glasses from Höpler Winery with dinner and a special von Trapp lager pairing with dessert. There will only 125 tickets available, and the event will feature one large outdoor communal table, delicious farm to table items from our garden and farm as well as live music, von Trapp family members, and Louise Höpler from Höpler winery in Austria. This not to be missed event will be the talk to the town this year in Stowe!

Time: 5-8pm 
Price:  $235 per person including tax and service fee
 
Tickets are paid in full at the time of booking and are not refundable. Rooms are available for overnight accommodations at the resort, but we do expect the lodge to sell out this weekend due to the popularity of this event.

Oktoberfest 2025 Saturday, September 20, 2025


Join us for the 16th annual Oktoberfest at the von Trapp Brewing Bierhall at 1333 Luce Hill Road in Stowe VT! The Inseldudler Band will be playing at both sessions as well as Trachten contests (for traditional Oktoberfest outfits), cask tapping and U.S. Steinholding competitions at each session. 

There are 2 sessions on Saturday and each session is five hours in length. Adult tickets include your first beer, an Oktoberfest souvenir mug, an app, entree and live entertainment. Students include everything except the beer and get a soda instead and Youth get an app and a soda. Dessert will be available for purchase a la carte the day of.

Blessing of the Animals Sunday, September 21, 2025


Stowe Community Church will host a Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 4 pm. All well-mannered pets are welcome.

The service will take place at the Trapp Family concert meadow at the von Trapp Family Lodge & Resort. In case of rain, the event will be at the von Trapp Family Lodge & Resort event tent.

Trapp Cabin Trail Races Sunday, September 21, 2025


The Trapp Cabin Trail Races are held annually at the to support Green Mountain Adaptive Sports. This perennial favorite is a great opportunity to try out trail running, to look for your personal best, or put the pedal down and go for the podium. There will be a 5K, 10K, and a Half-Marathon. Sign up to run with family and friends and create some long-lasting memories! This event is an important fundraiser for Green Mountain Adaptive Sports.

Race to the Cabin Will Return in 2026!


Come enter this festive, low-key event; some may race, and others may tour. Just come out and ski at your own pace to the famous Trapp's Slayton Pasture Cabin and enjoy a hot chocolate or hot cider!

Course Description: Only one hill, a moderate 3 ½ K final climb to the cabin, but well worth the effort.

Catamount Ultra Marathon Saturday, June 20, 2026


The Catamount Ultra Marathon starts and finishes at beautiful Trapp Family Lodge outside of Stowe VT. The 25k course is primarily wide, hard-packed dirt trail. To complete the 50k course, runners will complete the 25k loop, two times. There is an 9 hour racer cutoff for the 50k.

Sound of Music returns after a sold out run in 2024 to the von Trapp Family Lodge & Resort's concert Meadow in partnership with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Theatre, Stowe Performing Arts and the Flynn Theatre. Tickets to be released in the near future!
